Shilajit: Ancient mineral tar
Shilajit has been used for centuries in Ayurveda. Shilajit is an organic plant material that is chemically incredibly complex. It contains about 80 minerals and trace elements and many other nutrients.
Shilajit, nature's organic miracle
Shilajit is not made by humans. It is created at high altitudes in the mountains, under specific conditions such as strong UV radiation, extreme temperature changes and precipitation. Hundreds of different medicinal plants are compressed through layers of rock. Over decades, the plant mass "matures" and a tar-like mass is formed. This is called Shilajit, or mumio.
Shilajit is extremely rich in minerals and other nutrients. When the temperature in the mountains is high in summer, the Shilajit drips out through rock crevices. Shilajit is therefore also called 'sweat of the rocks'.
Humus, fulvic acid and minerals
Shilajit consists of three main components: humus, fulvic acid and minerals. Shilajit contains rare earths, amino acids, vitamins, ashless humic acids, fulvic acids, lipids, benzoic acids, alkaloids, caratenoids and chlorophyll. Some of the organic molecules in Shilajit have not yet been fully studied. It is the unique composition that makes Shilajit a natural wonder.
Pure and authentic
